 ロシア連邦のウクライナ侵攻に関する声明

　私たち真宗大谷派は、このたびのロシア連邦のウクライナに対する侵攻をはじめとして、あらゆる武力行使に対して反対の意を表明します。
また現在、恐怖と悲しみの中にいる多くの人々に平和が取り戻されることを強く望みます。
　私たちは、先の大戦において国家体制に追従し、戦争に積極的に協力して、多くの人々を死地に送り出した歴史をもっています。その過ちを深く慙愧する教団として、1995年の『不戦決議』において、「すべての戦闘行為の否定」とともに、「民族・言語・文化・宗教の相違を超えて、戦争を許さない、豊かで平和な国際社会の建設に向けて、すべての人々と歩みをともにする」ことを誓いました。
　このたびの国家間の問題のみならず、世界にはミャンマーをはじめとした、今なお武力による衝突や弾圧の続く国や地域があります。あらためて、 すべての武力行使に対して反対の意を表するとともに、一日も早く安穏なる日々が訪れることを願います。

Manifesto contra a Invasão Russa na Ucrânia

　Nós, da Ordem Ōtani do Budismo Shin da Terra Pura, abominamos todas as formas de uso da força e da violência, incluindo a recente invasão da Ucrânia pela Rússia.

Reivindicamos fortemente que a paz seja restaurada para as pessoas acuadas, onde são obrigadas a viver com o medo e a tristeza que pairam no centro desta crise.

　Na história da nossa Ordem carregamos o grande fardo de ter seguido o sistema governamental, cooperando ativamente em guerras no passado, o qual significou ter enviado muitas pessoas à morte.

Por ser uma comunidade religiosa que lamenta profundamente os erros, em 1995 estabelecemos o juramento de Declaração contra Guerras, para não incorrer em outros erros e se opor a qualquer ato de violência. Da mesma forma, expressamos os nossos propósitos de estabelecer uma sociedade de convívio pacífico transcendendo as diferenças de etnia, idioma, cultura e religião.

　No nosso desejo de construir o convívio respeitoso entre as pessoas do mundo , além dos conflitos entre nações anteriormente citados, lembramos que em várias regiões do mundo a exemplo de Mianmar, o uso de forças ainda impera.

Manifestamos nossa total oposição à violência.

Desejamos o restabecimento da paz e harmonia o mais rápido possível.

Statement of opposition to the Russian Invasion of Ukraine

    We, the Shinshū Ōtani-ha, hereby express our opposition to any use of armed force, such as what we have seen in the military invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation. At the same time, we sincerely wish this conflict ends and that peace returns, especially for the innocent victims who have been plunged into the depths of fear and sorrow.

    Our organization has a negative history of blindly following the policy of the Japanese government during World War II, voluntarily cooperating with the war by pushing many people to the battlefields. We, as Buddhists who have sincerely repented the mistakes we made in wartime, officially adopted in 1995 a “No-more-war Resolution.” Through this resolution, we made a pledge “to disavow all acts of military aggression” and “to work together with all peoples toward realizing a happy and peaceful international community that no longer permits war, transcending all ethnic, linguistic, cultural, and religious differences.”

    In our world today, many people in different countries and regions also have suffered from military conflicts and oppression, such as the people in Myanmar. Now, we once again strongly state our opposition to all acts of military aggression and express our dearest hope we can achieve world peace as soon as possible.
